Mara Beck, M.S., CCC-SLP is an ASHA board certified and licensed Speech/Language Pathologist and a mom of three. She earned a double major in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and a Master of Science Degree in Communicative Disorders from Arizona State University. Mara completed her Clinical Fellowship Training at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She has worked extensively in medical, school and home settings for over 25 years, specializing in early intervention and school aged speech and language concerns. Mara enjoys working with her clients and their families to help them achieve their communication goals. When not working with her Speech Therapy clients, Mara enjoys hiking, seeing movies, playing with her dog and cats, and spending time with her family and friends.

Mara is committed to continuing education in her field and has extensive experience with the following disorders/treatment areas: 

• Receptive and Expressive Language Delays/Disorders

• Articulation or Phonological Disorders

• Childhood Apraxia of Speech

• Auditory Processing Disorders

• Myofunctional/Oral-Motor Therapy

• Social Skills/Pragmatic Therapy

Speech and Language therapy may be necessary with the following diagnoses:

• Traumatic Brain Injury or Stroke

• Feeding or Swallowing Disorders

• Learning Disabilities

• Birth Defects such as cleft lip or cleft palate

• Cognitive or other Developmental Delays
